Studio Live

Complete Classical Training

Demonstrated and Documented Over Three to Four Years

The training develops classical drawing and painting skills. A weekly live online drawing studio

A Multi-Year Classical Training Journey

Studio Live follows a complete classical training structure, moving from drawing foundations through to painting over three to four years.

It provides access to sustained academic training for those who have not had the opportunity to study within a dedicated atelier in person.

The work begins with fundamental drawing and develops gradually toward painting, building skill through sustained and disciplined practice.

Over time, this forms a substantial body of academic study.

What This Is

Studio Live is a weekly online classical drawing demonstration.

Each session is a sustained hour of methodical work. I demonstrate the full process while you observe closely or draw alongside.

There is no Q&A, no discussion, and no performance. The emphasis is on disciplined studio practice and careful attention to method.

Sessions are recorded for enrolled students.

Spring Term: Bargue Drawing Foundations

Classical training begins with the Bargue plates.

Over seven weeks, one plate is worked through in full, demonstrated carefully from first measurement to final resolution.

The focus includes:

• Comparative measurement and proportion

• Line articulation

• Modelling form through light and shade

• The discipline required for sustained classical work

Each session is one hour, held on Mondays from 2-3pm GMT. All sessions are recorded and available to enrolled students.

Who This Is For

Studio Live suits artists who:

• Value independent practice over social interaction

• Want structure without pressure

• Are curious about classical methods

• Prefer to work at their own pace

• Can't access traditional atelier training

Beginners and experienced artists alike are welcome to observe and learn or draw alongside, the format accommodates all.

About me

I trained in classical methods in Florence and have worked as a professional commissioned artist since 2010. My work has received recognition and awards, but what matters more is the daily practice - the quiet discipline of observation and technique.

Studio Live is my commitment to documenting that practice systematically, from foundational principles through to advanced painting. It's the training I know, demonstrated methodically over years, made accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
